Maths works

We are learning to work collaboratively in Maths. We worked on Problem Solving and wrote down  how we solve them.

Our Winning Logo

 

We have held our annual year 3 and 4 Logo competition and this year we had a lot of fantastic entries. The teachers looked at the criteria carefully and from there chose the ones that best represented our school. The winning design was by A.S and we think it looks amazing! Well done A.S and you may just recieve a little something special at Friday's assembly! Well done to all who had a really good try this year! 

Fish in the Sea

In Room 22 we have been talking about how many of our differences are also our similarities. We decided that even though we are all different we can all get on together... we may be different fish but in this school we all swim together!

The teachers of the magnificent middle team at Botany Downs just want to say a huge WELCOME BACK to you all. We have a fantastic year lined up and we cannot wait to begin! We are also looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow and getting to know you and your family. Poetry Presentation Final

Congratulations to our amazing finalists! Everyone did a great job performing their poem to our audience and judges on the stage today.

Mrs Reid's crazy bunch...

Spring is for new life...

We have planted some beans and tomatoes in our

 pots and are going to look after them and help

 them to grow. We have also planted some bean

 seeds in a plastic bag that Mrs Reid stuck to the

window. We will be able to watch what happens

to a seed when it begins to grow and see all the

changes that take it from a seed to a plant. 

Shakeout NZ in Room 22

We have just completed taking part in the nation wide earthquake drill. At 9.15am we all heard Mrs Reid call drop and we went into action. We all know to Drop to the floor, Cover our neck and head and Hold onto the nearest table leg. We also know that we need to become turtles and keep our body in around us as close as possible to prevent injuries from happening. We also know to keep away from windows and walls that could fall and if we need to move we have to crawl as walking may be too difficult.
