MOOOooooving MILK

For our first science class, Room 21 experimented with milk and food colouring, to make Moooooving Milk. We also compared what would happen if we did the same experiment with water. Have a look at the photos below showing the different reactions and the way the colours move, swirl, twist and boil in water.

This is the food colouring added to the milk.

Then we added some drops of dish-washing detergent.

The colours started boiling and swirling like a kaleidoscope

This is what happened when we did the same with water.

Nowhere near as exciting or colourful.

Here is the end result after an hour or so later.
